What's this
Recycl'art is a form of art that is based on recycling; it is developed in the recovery program and integral human formation - "Laboratory of Liberty" - in some prisons in Maputo (Mozambique), using simple materials and transforming them into works of art through the creativity and artistic talent of prisoners and ex-prisoners.
Why
1. Recycl'art facilitates the integration of ex-prisonners into the labor market, after the time of detention.
2. The project offers to beneficiaries the opportunity to develop their own specific talents and increase the level of self-esteem through work and sharing of values.
3. The funds raised from the sale of products are used to provide basic necessities to prisoners who "work in the project", to allow them to pay legal costs, and ensure a small financial help for their families and themselves when they come out of prison.

All workshops of Recycle-art are made with recycled products, to implement a 'poor art' that can easily be developed either within that outside of prisons.
